A prohibited turn offence occurs when a driver makes a turn where signage or road rules explicitly forbid it. This includes turning left, right, or making a U-turn at intersections or roadways marked with "No Turn" signs. In some locations, prohibited turn signs are always in effect, while in other locations prohibited turns are only in effect during specific hours. Prohibited turn tickets are often issued in busy urban areas where improper turns can create dangerous traffic conflicts or impede pedestrian safety.

Making a left turn at an intersection where a “No Left Turn” sign is clearly posted.
Turning right on a red light where signs prohibit it.
Making a U-turn in a location where signs indicate that U-turns are not permitted.
Disobeying time-restricted turn signs (for example: No right turn 7–9AM).

A conviction registered on your driving abstract record for three years from the conviction date.
